Nice MC800 Control Board — Replacement Control Unit for Toona, Hyppo and Wingo Motor Series

Nice MC800 is an advanced control unit designed for swing and sliding gate automation motors, combining the motor driver and logic control on a single board. The board operates on a 230V AC (±10%) mains supply and provides a 24V DC output voltage to connected motors, supporting a maximum motor power of 200W and covering the entire mid-range motor series from Nice. With an IP54 protection rating, the board is resistant to dust and water splashing, and offers stable operation across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +50°C, making it suitable for enclosed garage applications as well as semi-outdoor and cold climate installations. When used in conjunction with the Nice PS124 external battery unit, the board enables uninterrupted system operation during mains power failures. The MC800 is the primary replacement part of choice when the motor becomes unresponsive due to control board failure, burned driver layers, or programming loss.

Replacing the MC800 control board is a MEDIUM difficulty task. Since the board connects to the motor housing via socketed connectors, the physical installation is largely plug-and-play; however, before replacement it is necessary to note or photograph the DIP switch positions, sensitivity trimpot settings, and antenna/flasher connections on the existing board. After commissioning the new board, limit settings and deceleration distances must be reprogrammed according to the motor type. For this reason, it is recommended that the replacement be carried out by a technician with basic automation system knowledge; otherwise, incorrect configuration may adversely affect motor movement.
