BFT Libra C GS 24V Barrier Control Board — Replacement Control Unit for Giotto and Michelangelo Series

BFT Libra C GS is the original electronic control unit manufactured for BFT Giotto 24V and BFT Michelangelo 24V series barrier systems. The board accepts a 230V AC mains supply and delivers a 24V DC motor output, while the integrated D-Track torque management technology precisely detects obstacles on the arm and protects the motor. Rated at protection class IP54, the board is suitable for demanding environments such as car parks, residential entrance gates and industrial access points, thanks to its wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. It features a photocell input, loop detector connection, step-by-step start input, emergency stop input, and flasher/traffic light outputs. Auto-closing time, slow-start/slow-stop profiles and transit speed settings are configured via the LCD button interface. A control board failure — manifesting as the barrier arm not responding to commands, obstacle detection being disabled, or accessory outputs (flasher, traffic light) not functioning — requires replacement of this board.

Replacing this control board is of MEDIUM difficulty. The wiring connections of the existing board must be photographed and documented before disconnection, and the new board must then be connected to the same terminal points. After installation, parameters such as auto-closing time, torque sensitivity and slow-start/stop distances must be reconfigured from the LCD menu according to the installation conditions; it is therefore recommended that the work be carried out by a technician with a basic knowledge of barrier installation.
