Nice Will Barrier Control Board

Nice WA20 is the original replacement control board manufactured for Nice Will series boom barrier motors. The board operates on a 230V AC mains supply and manages the connected 24V DC barrier motor. Thanks to the DIP switch and button-based programming interface on the board, automatic closing time, slow start/stop ramps and opening/closing limit positions can be easily adjusted. The board also supports photocell connections and external safety sensor inputs, automatically stopping the motor when a vehicle or obstacle is detected on the barrier line. With an IP44 protection rating against dust and water splashes, the WA20 is designed to operate continuously across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +50°C, making it suitable for demanding outdoor applications such as open car parks, factory entrances and logistics centres.

Replacing the Nice WA20 control board is of MEDIUM difficulty. The cable connections of the old board are disconnected and the new board is mounted in the same position; however, the DIP switch positions and limit settings must be noted before installation or matched exactly to the existing system. The programming steps are described in detail in the original installation manual for the Nice Will barrier series. It is mandatory to disconnect the mains voltage during electrical connections and to comply with safety regulations; therefore, replacement by an authorised technician is recommended.
