Nice ROA40 Control Board — Replacement Control Unit for Rox 600 and Rox 1000 Motor Series

Nice ROA40 is the original replacement control board manufactured for Nice Rox 600 and Nice Rox 1000 series automatic sliding gate motors. The board is powered by a 230V AC mains supply and drives the motor with a 24V DC output; it incorporates advanced motion control functions such as soft-start, soft-stop, and programmable automatic closing time. Accessories such as photocells, external flashers, push buttons, and safety edges can be directly integrated into the system via the available connection terminals; thanks to BlueBus technology, these external devices are connected using only two cable lines. The board has an IP44 protection rating and operates reliably across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +55°C. Original Nice remote control receivers such as Nice Smilo 2, Nice Flore 2, and Nice Inti Era 2 can be programmed directly onto the board. Control board failures typically manifest as the motor stopping mid-movement, the gate failing to move in the programmed direction, or accessories not responding to the system — in such cases, replacement of the ROA40 board is required.

This control board replacement is of INTERMEDIATE difficulty. While removing and installing the board is mechanically straightforward, the existing cable connections (motor phases, photocell, safety edge, remote control receiver) must be connected to exactly the correct terminals, and limit settings along with deceleration points must be reprogrammed after the replacement. For this reason, it is recommended that the procedure be carried out by a technically qualified user or an authorized service technician; incorrect wiring may cause permanent damage to the board or the motor.
